I didn't make a change to my booking during this period (though did check available seats). I can't check-in online, so will just have to wait and see what random two middle seats 10 rows apart we get allocated at the airport on our domestic leg... at least our second leg is in F, so seats pre-selected (and flight still on sale, so not a downgrade coming hopefully).
I'm not generally too critical of BA, but yet again their IT systems are shown to be an absolute joke.
I'd quibble with "absolute", AA have set new standards in this area that will be dashed difficult to beat
And EI have a (deliberate) crazy policy of assuming those pax on single PNR are travelling separately if they don't share a surname... (So if child gets combined surname, EI thinks it's fine for them to sit rows away from parents - aged 3!!
