Generally agree with the inability to use CP status to match to other programs. However, VX is currently offering a limited time match with a challenge for those with CP status.

Also the term "points" in OP's post conflates the 3 distinct types of points - Redeemable Points, Tier Qualifying Points, and Companion Pass Qualifying Points. One can easily (CC spend, for example) earn the 1st and 3rd types without actually flying. I continue to accumulate "points" on WN once I've reached a certain status, but, generally aim for the redeemable variety then.
