It's probably because of the crew's time limits. TK is usually* sending the crews all the way to the final destination, e.g. SGN or CGK in the case of the SIN flight. This stretches duty time quite a bit and if they are early, they don't want to delay any further.

*usually: On SIN-CGK I always had the same crew all the way to/from IST. On BKK-SGN I experienced both, crew change at BKK or at SGN.
