I believe that SNAs are processed directly by SPG, so contacting the hotel will do little to check on their status. If you see availability for the requested suite for your dates 5 days out and they haven't been confirmed, then contacting the Platinum concierge or an SPG lurker may be your best bet.
I'm not a golf fan, but I noticed the lack of HD feeds and there is no excuse for this, given both the age and prestige of the property.

It may be a St. Regis, but it's a St. Regis in Puerto Rico. You can spend your next several trips to the property being frustrated by service issues, or just accept it and enjoy everything else the property has to offer.
