Usually on most BA flights, I can select most rows ahead of time, right now, expertflyer shows a few of the first few Y seats to be blocked, including the exit rows.
It is normal for the first few rows of economy to be blocked until a few days before departure, as the business cabin curtain may be moved forwards/backwards.
