April 2013 - new H7N9 strain of avian (bird) flu in - Shanghai (PVG-SHA) region again
I talked to one of my friends who has lived in Shanghai for the past three years with her two young kids. She tells me that life is going on as normal. Same number of people wearing masks.

We are going to go with increased vigilance. Watch what and where we eat. I'm going to take tamiflu and n95 masks as well.
