I only keep the card for the elite credit (which doesn't count toward lifetime) and extra spg pts when staying at spg hotels. But I can't use it at SPG hotels OUTSIDE the US!
I do the exact same thing. The credit card with SPG is used solely for Starwood, whom I prefer for my domestic trips. Then for my purchases I have the Club Carlson Visa. For my trips abroad, I have the Marriott.
These are only meant to provide me with enough to get free hotel stays during my vacations since I never pay for the flights due to mileage accrual. I can't be the only one who does this.
