"PC Customer Service" is truly an oxymoron. I only call them when I absolutely can not get a question answered any other way. And nearly every conversation, like the one you had, turns into a maddening and usually futile exchange that would do Franz Kafka proud.
My favorite part was when I did speak with the manager the second time around she eventually (after a long hold) conceded that I was entitled to platinum status by virtue of being a card holder. So, I got back to my original question of seeing if anything could be done about getting me to platinum quicker. She said Chase would have to call and set that in motion and it could be done. Fair enough. I called Chase again and they said there was absolutely nothing they could do. What a joke. I gave up.
I've already earned points from my card which have shown up on my PC account from last month, yet still not upgraded. I'm just going to wait my 8 weeks...not planning any stays until May anyway.
