In any event, I have a gold Biz card (the one that offers 3x on airline) and that doesn't come due for the fee until the fall.

I called to confirm with AMEX that if I cancelled my MR points would stay active due to my other card.

Is there something better to do than cancel? Is there a low-fee "regular" Amex that still offers MR points. Would I want this to keep my length of credit (even though I've only had Plat. for about 3 years).

Any thoughts?
