PaulRO,
I m all for respecting local custos, but in this case, x-ray standards should be homogeneous in all of Europe, which is what allows people who go through x-rays at a given airport within Schengen to transfer onto another flight without having to go through xray again..
For example, if I fly from NICE to Amsterdam and then onto Frankfurt, I will have undergone x-ray check at Nice and will not have to go through x-rays again at Amsterdam.. Therefore, I will be on the flight to Frankfurt, without having had to remove cables and chargers from my bag, while people who connected in Amsterdam from non-Schengen flights will have had to remove their chargers to get on the flight...
I just believe this is something that should be standardized among all airport within the Schengen zoone which are required to have the same security standards.
