Cables and charges do hamper the "sight" on the x-ray and when I am travelling with lots of cables I am occasionally asked to remove them after the bag went through the machine.

Last week at AMS, I was also asked to remove any cables before putting it on the belt. I removed the charger, left all other cables in as I couldn't be bothered and there was nobody else in the line. No complaints on the other side of the belt... Strange indeed. Security can be so easy here in Asia and is such a power-play theatre in the Europe now.
