I'd imagine the answer is here somewhere but I can't find it. I know that if I do an AA code share on another OW airline's metal (e.g., BA or CX), it counts as AA for mileage accrual purposes. But what if it's a OW partner code share with a third airline?

More specifically, I might be getting a CX code share on Air China metal (in J). Putting aside the likelihood that the Air China flight probably won't be as good as CX, do I accrue AA miles just the same as if it were an actual CX flight?
