When the merger was announced, we had almost 800K miles.
We used to try to go to Europe as often as possible on 50K tickets. We started booking business class tickets to burn down the balance.
Our last "easy" redemptions were in March, 2010. Our next redemption was in June of 2010 after trying twice daily for 7 weeks to book a MSP-PDX round trip for two in mid-October. I could have booked it as standard awards on WN, CO or UA on day 1; with WN booked as a backup (cancellable as per normal WN practice

), it took seven weeks to get the same itin out of DL.
We still have ~28K miles left, but there aren't enough concrete blocks (even counting the neighbor's foundations) to smash my head into in order to get something booked, and even if we did one of us would probably end up being raped by TSA.
Seven weeks to book MSP-PDX in mid October starting 6 months out utterly convinced me that any continued involvement with SkyPesos was complete & total waste of our resources.

Have you checked the inflation rate lately?
Not only that but the SkyPesos currency has gotten so soggy lately that the bottom is probably rotting out of your Piggy Bank. Every time you put a new SkyPeso in the little slot on the top, two fall out & quickly turn to dust.
