I applied for the Hilton Surpass which gives 40K hilton points for a $75 fee. Here is my situation:

- I got the 40K points.
- Used those points to book a room in end-of-June (reservation confirmed)
- The $75 fee hasn't shown up on my statement yet.
- The card gave me gold status too (which would be nice to keep, but not essential at all - I can have breakfast somewhere else I don't care).

Can I just cancel this card now (effectively, getting a free room or a very-reduced pro-rated fee room)? Will this auto-cancel my reservation for end-of-June or raise any flags regarding that?

Basically - what are my options
