Taking a quick look at your result, it looks like all the QF flights are in business cabin, while your search was for a First award. This is why your use of "QF" did not select those flights.
I think I understand now, although this doesn't seem like the most intuitive design. I would prefer if the filtering were all explicit. Kayak has a pretty good model for this, with the most common filtering options upfront:



The more advanced filtering options are hidden by default to avoid overload, but are shown with just a click:



In any case, I am still thrilled to have found Award Nexus as it seems to be a very powerful search engine, and especially to have a free option available. Keep up the good work!
