I've found that a lot of places, TSA doesn't really care. A lot of times, its those AA redcoats that harass me with what line I'm supposed to use. They are also very inconsistent.
TSA doesn't give a rat's behind which line you use. To them, all travelers who present themselves at the podium are the same: Another passenger to screen.
