On the the AE ticket it was $388.90, of which ~$317 was a fuel surcharge. It's bad enough that AE charges the surcharges that appear on a revenue ticket, but when the revenue ticket doesn't have them ...????
On a related topic, the fares to HKG (and SYD) ex LHR used to be significantly less expensive than ex YYZ, to the extent that it was cost effective to fly from there and get two trips for the price of less than one. Now, it's <$3000 from YYZ and well over over $4K ex LHR. Another enhancement.

just tried YXU-HKG May 5-15 .. it's 1560$ ... all-in
