I think there is some lines of code burried in the system that deal with what is printed on a BP for companions of elites. May have to do with that fare bucket you are booked into. I can remember my son having a group 2 BP. Then we got rebooked into a different flight and it said priority even though we were still in coach. So it remains a mystery.
