If one has never worked where
THEIR personal compensation is directly tied to
THEIR personal performance, or on
commission, or for that matter, anything other than hourly rate/salary, I can see that viewpoint.
Horton was s***** from the beginning. He could have been the 2nd coming of Gordon Bethune. But he had to ultimately deal with out-of-touch AA union leadership, co-opting him at every move, who fell in league with DAArth PAArker.
Horton could have generated historically high numbers, caused the lame to walk, turned water into wine, parted the Red Sea, won the Nobel Prize for creating peace in the Middle East.......
Yet, for the unions, it still would never be enough. Unlike Shylock, they demanded all that, and a ton of flesh, disregarding the axiom, "Better the devil you know...
Now we will ALL suffer.
Personally, I think he did a great job with what he was given. Give him the $, and lets see who laughs last. My money is on Horton.
