Precisely.
The simple fact is, I can sleep on almost any pmUA C seat in the system. The worst are in fact the 747 Upper Deck seats which are shorter. The *only* pmCO C seat I can sleep on is the bulkhead on the 777. No non-bulkhead seat, and not even the 764 bulkhead.
Given that, it's a no brainer. The ability to sleep is the primary consideration when it comes to flying in C. Everything else is pure gravy.
The meal service on the pmCO side is still better, despite the cuts; and the IFE is largely a wash (the ability to resume mid-movie is a win for pmUA).
I understand the storage issue, but I generally have an iPad, a chromebook, a small book of cryptic crosswords and my shoes. on pmUA, I remove the magazines when I board, and that slot handles everything just fine, and my phone sits in the little groove on the side of the seat. No issues whatsoever, but I realize that for those who need a lot more stuff around them, it would be a problem.
