Pre-departure beverages, the same-day change policies, even CPUs? My hyperbolemeter just went off.

As for the 2-4-2 777s...the OP is bang on...those seats are nasty given that they are squeezed into a premium cabin. Yuck. I switched from one of those sardine cans to a pmCO 752 for a trip across the pond last year after sampling them on a domestic run (CPU).
