That's true. I needed to add pages to my passport and it is full of visas (not just the stamps).

But I suspect there may be more. My personal experiences with CBP are they tend to be professional LE types. Not discounting that an individual CBP officer can be a real jerk. But, on the whole, they just go about their jobs.

Maybe you are right about the travel history. A single male, with very little international travel history, returning from a short solo trip to Thailand (or any of the other infamous sex tourism destinations) could fit a profile for the CBP.
