In the first press release, I chuckled at the term "accomplished travelers." I guess only those who are highly trained and skilled in the art of travel are able to stay at a JW Marriott-branded property.

In the second press release, I has amazed by the complete lack of a meaningful definition. It's essentially just marketing talk.

It would be more honest to have this definition:
About the Marriott Marquis Brand
Marriott Marquis is a brand extension of Marriott Hotels & Resorts that allows the hotel to charge at least an extra $10 per room per night because it sounds fancy.
