For AP, Visa & American Express Prepaid cards are getting $1 authorization fee.
For some reasons - US Bank MC cards are not.
In the case of Amex, you can call and register your address and they will usually cancel the pending $1 authorization fee, leaving you free to spend the entire sum (assuming it's less than $1,000).
