I contacted Agoda right away and they told me they would contact the hotel. They then wrote me that the hotel wouldn't change my booking. I had a friend in the US called the hotel for me. She did and said that the hotel didn't seem to have any problems changing the dates but since the booking was made through agoda, they can't touch it, agoda will need to contact them. I'm a bit confused since Agoda mentioned they already contacted the hotel and they said no? And now the hotel said Agoda never did?
Did you guys have to change a non changeable booking before? What would be the best way to deal with this situation? Thanks.
It's always difficult if you book via online portal. No points, no status, no elite benefit (but sometimes there's), same price, and the worst: no cancellation of non-refundable price. Only if you had booked direct via clubcarlson.com previously, 60%-70% of the hotel can change and/or refund non-amendable / refundable tariff.
