Anyone got any recent experience with the Dome Suite at this place? Used the hotel to mop up the last of my Hhonors points on a points+cash deal just before the devaluation, when I found out the dates for the Stones' Hyde Park gig. The upgrade request form shows a "deluxe room" requested, but it's offering the 'Dome Suite' for £70.
Anyone stayed in the suite? Any good? Worth an extra £70?
I believe I was upgraded to this room before but do not recall the name.
Essentially it is a 2 level suite with the top room (dome) a rather barren and dated sitting room...I think I went and looked at it but never used the room...I was there on biz but do not think it would be worth quite 70...
I actually like the charm of this place if they give you a decent sized room - location is great and staff are very friendly.
But, there are certainly better options...for around the same budget you have the recently renovated hilton Kensington and for touristic, I would do Hilton Tower Bridge as I was quite impressed by this hotel.
