I hope I am posting this properly!
I have been flying Alaska 2-3 times a year for about 4 years now and want to use some of the miles I have accrued through travel/AA Visa etc. Here is my question . . .
I just researched some flights for next December/January. Is there any chance that the amount of miles needed to purchase a flight will change?
First... welcome to the AS forum,
michele22! We're glad you've decided to join!
Second: It's the AS Visa

Not the AA Visa... reading that makes it sound like you'd be referring to the American Airlines visa card... and we don't want that.
Third: Given your flights are in Dec/Jan (read: busy holiday season), you're probably not going to see award redemption rates decrease. Though AS does release inventory at different times of the year... but it can be a calculated risk that could potentially not pay off. The second part of this is the different redemption rates:
Super Saver, Choice or Full-Flex. Click '
here' for more info on these differences.
If you can find a Super Saver... it's the lowest redemption rate (unless there's a mileage 'sale')... but Full-Flex will allow you to cancel at any-time without a penalty. If your husband was to use the Money & Miles, I'm pretty sure he'd be potentially subject to change fees, depending on the type of fare... looks like
