Marriott Sukhumvit 57 Bangkok

We are here on a 3-night stay with Platinum status. I was asked and I chose the 500 points as my Platinum check-in amenity. As Platinum, I requested an upgrade to a suite, but because the suites aren't ready yet, I was moved to lower floor (17th) and given a one-bedroom apartment with breakfast and other lounge benefits all for THB 3,200++ per night. Here are my observations:

• Great service thus far by FD & management personnel. Lounge staff is a different situation altogether.
• Lounge is open until midnight on the second floor with happy hour and other benefits with all day non-alcoholic beverage benefits. Lounge also provides computer terminals if you need to use one.
• All marble/tile bathroom with wonderful rain-forest shower.
• Some construction noise/smells as you go down the elevator on the apartments side.
• The property is brand new, crisp & clean with great facilities and potentially the best rooftop venue in mid-Sukhumvit.
• Breakfast is given at the lobby's 57th Street Restaurant and it is better than the Renaissance lounge breakfast.
