I suggest you read the Minister's announcement about a "dedicated" NEXUS line. It is pretty clear.

Not sure why you raise the cost/benefit issue? Do you work in YOW airport security? The GoC encourages FTs to get NEXUS and over time, more will. Having a dedicated NEXUS line is one of the benefits.

Otherwise, we have bizarre situations like a NEXUS member being asked to produce their card while waiting in a line behind non members (see Margarita Girl, above). Try explaining that!!
