Timeline for me

9 Dec 2012: Cancel C+P,500+ GBP due, Online form filled myself

25 Jan 2013: Called BA US office, Online form filled by agent

15 March 2013: Called BA US office again, promised to get back to me in 2 days

29 March 2013: Called BA US office 3rd time after no news in 2 weeks, demanding to speak to UK team.Got connected to customer relation office in UK

2 April 2013: Got call from UK, saying refund had been processed since 28 March 2013

4 April 2013: Refund received in the bank provided on the online form, 800+ USD, 1.6+ exchange rate

8 April 2013: Letter received from BA NYC office, dated 4 April 2013
