All of this media attention and UA remains silent. Their only press release on the subject said that they have "conducted a full review" of their IFE policies. Their review is complete. What did you conclude? Was showing this movie acceptable? Is it to be expected that similar type movies will be shown on the common screens going forward?
Also, I'd like their side of the story. Do they feel their pilot was reasonable in diverting the plane? Do they feel their standards are reasonable on plane diversions and if so do they feel the pilot's decision was in-line with the company's standards.
Once I know their stance, then I can make my decisions regarding flying on their airline in the future.
For instance -remember the airline that used Hooters waitresses on flights to Vegas. I'm totally fine with this - I wouldn't care if the flight crew were naked - as long as it was advertised before I bought the ticket.
United, just let us understand your company culture and let us make our own decisions. Until then you look like fools - you couldn't have screwed up your PR and worse on this - where did you get your PR team from? Perhaps you hired the people JetBlue fired?
