It sort of fits as a general question, but once the OP said they wanted to use their ANA miles I agree it should be on ANA. But then the OP could have simply Edited it to say why cant I use UA miles for a US flight when US shows availabilty? and it would be OK for this Forum,no?
Exactly...This guy understands why I made this post here.
Pretend my question says "
I want to book a saver award ticket using United miles on a US Airways flight between CLT and GIG in December of this year. When I searched for award inventory last week, the calendar was wide open (especially the return ticket from GIG-CLT in Business class). Now when I search the route, the flight isn't even listed as an option. Has anyone seen this happen before? The flight I'm looking at was a US Airways flight. It's strange, because I do see other US Airways awards flights bookable via the United search engine, but this specific route is essentially missing now"
Would that specific question make you less bothered? It's the same exact question I asked above, but I omitted the details that upset you.
Hopefully my last comment might get us back on track.
Has anyone ever seen a situation (with any partner airline) where an entire route with tons of award availability just drops off the United site?
I'm going to try to wait it out a few days and hope for the best, but it would be great to hear if anyone else has seen a similar situation in the past.
If the flight isn't expected to reappear, I'll have to start thinking about other plans instead for my cousin.
Thanks - JP
