I was making the point that I use open internet only for normal internet, not anything that I would call "secure" use - financial or client sensitive etc.

I certainly dont use any password twice with the sensitive stuff, and dont care about open internet.

I also use LastPass to store and generate complicated passwords and manage them for me, which I can also commend to the OP.
