Thank you all again for your replies. Actually the connection in LHR is 1 hour 45 minutes. If all is on time AA arrives at 8:10 am and BA leaves for VIE at 9:55am.
I will trust all you who have much more experience than I that there is sufficient time. However both DH and I will have a change of clothes and essentials in our carry-ons. And yes, we know about La Carreta, having eaten there a few times.

Yesterday I went from plane to BA F lounge in 20 minutes. Most of that was the long walk from the plane to security. Security, for a change, was a breeze, walked right up to the bins and unloaded laptop etc. This is the biggest variable, TBH, as occasionally the security lines can be bad. I was expecting it yesterday due to super packed flights for end of spring break/easter break in UK. Was certainly very busy in SF and DFW both, but in the end LHR was smooth. Was about the same time in the morning (7:50 sched arrival on AA50). Plane was 30 minutes early.
