I guess I've been conditioned most of my life to not expect to get a promotion (or free upgrade, which is a type of promotion) on top of another promotion. But maybe something has changed as you guys suggest.

Anyway, the important thing to remember is that I think regular Q fares are still good for upgrades such as GUP's. It is just promotion fares that use the Q fare bucket that are ineligible for upgrades. Correct?
