Slightly off thread but how about the one in about 15 FAs that announce the FAA prohibits you to put your iPad in the seat back in front of you. That is one "rarely" enforced regulation.
Again same basic thing. It's only certified for the airline magazines and safety cards. So having anything else in there for TTL violates the certification. It may be stupid, but thems the rules.
