Sorry for bumping this thread, but didn't want to make a new one. I have an upcoming award flight in TG F from KIX-BKK and I'm considering buying a ticket from BKK-HKT on TG(Thai Smile) or PG in Y. Can my luggage be checked all the way to Phuket?

If not: Would 2hrs40min be sufficient time to reclaim luggage and check in again, keeping in mind that this is in Y (with lines everywhere and no fast track...)? The flights I'm looking at depart around 6pm-8pm.
