I like to bring things home when I'm traveling. Sometimes trinkets, a lot of time edible souvenirs. I can max out my checked baggage allotment quite rapidly hence have a full carryon. Also more fragile items are brought onboard- not CX specific but flying back from Hawaii I typically have my carroyon full of pineapples so they don't get squished in the baggage hold. I've been watching this thread as I've got an upcoming CX itin in F and I want to be prepared for this- especially concerned ex-HKG to USA as I anticipate binging a lot home. Thanks for the info in this thread.
