Dec 2012: Upgraded Biz Rewards Gold to Platinum. Charged prorated (25%) annual fee.
Jan 2013: Booked a cruise through Platinum Cruise Privileges
Apr 2013: Just got hit with the full annual fee.
June 2013: When the cruise takes place.


The cruise is fully paid for. If I cancel or downgrade my platinum card now though, will it be a problem in June at cruise time? Does the cruise line (Celebrity) check the Platinum card to verify eligibility for benefits?
