Recently at ORD during a layover on an incoming international flight we printed new BPs for the domestic leg and accepted the offer to go on an earlier flight. That made enough of a difference to earn us three beeps and a walk through the WTMD with our shoes on and dignity intact.
Between that and global entry it makes the experience positive or at least neutral after a long international flight.
