As ExecPlat you'd be ahead of anyone using 500-mile "stickers" anyway. The mechanics are laid out here if you need them - call and AA does it over the phone. If you really, really want the u/g and it doesn't look like it'll clear on its own (for free!) then burn the bucks and the miles. Your call.
