Interesting to me was to find out that chip transactions make about 5 % and contactless (NFC) transactions about 95 % of all EMV. New terminals are apparently used for low-amount quick transactions rather than ordinary purchases in stores.

I wonder what the foreigners with EMV cards are doing at Home Depot in FL though. Buying Black & Decker power tools as gifts for friends and relatives back home?
