They got up in a violent way, tried to close monitor, self centered Parent, continued. Again, they deserved to be kicked off the airplane! They were causing damage to the aircraft and probably continued to scream and yell. Good for the captain to make these parents walk the aisle of shame while the poor kids had to watch mommy and daddy get taken off an aircraft by the FBI. Next time Drive, we don't need people like you on an airfcraft. Now the kids get to go to school and let them know that his crazy parents were questioned by the FBI and Chicagos Finest!
Diverting a flight? No it's not the right thing. If I'm on that flight and misconnect because of this kind of stupidity, you bet I'm going to be livid.
The correct course of action is for the FA to take the nutter butter mother to the back of the aircraft for a chat where it is explained that if she continues to create a disturbance or attempt to touch or damage the monitors again, she will be physically restrained in her seat for the duration of the flight, and I'm sure she doesn't want her kids to see THAT, right?
End of problem....and if it's not the end of the problem, then out come the plastic restraints.
