There are at least THREE fees. There is your usual transaction fee if you are not with President Choice or have a package plan. Then there is Interac $1.50 fee... Then there is also $1-2 of convenience fee on top of the other two seen in private label machines.
However, more and more regular bank machines also start to add this convenience fee in public place. Let me give you an example.
CIBC ATMs in London University Hospital and St-Joseph Hospital both add this fee. We are not talking about a small private ATM company. We are also not talking about private stores/restaurant like 7-11 or Pizzareia. This fee is taken from the patients when they need extra help... where is the ethics?
