ATMs in Canada and USA - more and more fees
1. In Canada, the private companies with ATMs have been charging their fees, on top of the fees that the debit cardholder's bank may or may not charge.
Now, all major banks are introducting a fee, whereby customers with other bank's debit cards, will also have to pay that fee, on top of the fees that the debit cardholder's bank may or may not charge.
2. In USA - most ATMs charge fees to cardholders with debit/ATM cards issued by other banks. Many, but not all, of these ATMs state that customers from foreign coutries are exempt - I can still not figure out whether Canadian card-holders would be exempt, or liable to such fees.
