Hi, I'm flying Alaska F roundtrip - EWR to SEA to OGG. I am DL Silver (FO) Medallion until 2014. If I credit the flight to American, I will reach American gold (no status with American now). If I credit the flight to DL, I will be DL silver until 2015 (something I don't think I would ordinarily hit in 2013) + get the silver bonus miles.

Which airline do you think I should credit to? I fly mostly out of DCA/LGA/JFK and fly Delta a decent amount. However, I have less and less patience for the Skymiles program because DL miles are practically impossible to redeem for good value. But, I also have a DL AMEX, so it is occasionally worth my time to use pay with miles when airfare would otherwise be outrageous and I need to make the booking regardless (i.e., used pay with miles to pay for my wedding photographer to fly to my venue).

Anyway, I'm stumped on this and flying on Monday, so would appreciate any feedback from the Alaska MP readers - who are awesome btw!
