That and no other news outlet has picked up the story. The story is either 100% false or greatly exaggerated. There is absolutely no proof it happened other then Flightaware showing an airplane landing somewhere other then its original destination and I dont even see that. Im pretty sure if a family was thrown off a jet for complaining about a movie, it would be news. Plus, I have a close friend who is a UA pilot and he hasn't heard a single peep. Trust me, airlines are like high schools, word gets around very quickly.
The author of this story really needs to provide readers with more information. That is unprofessional journalism in my opinion.
The fact that a news outlet didn't pick it up immediately doesn't mean it's not legitimate.
When our own
MKEBound got into it with TSA because of his "Kip Hawley is an Idiot" baggie back in 2006, it was nearly 2-3 weeks after the fact that CNN picked it up. In the meantime there were plenty of naysayers because "no one picked it up." Turns out some outlets did.
The media can be slow when there's more "interesting" topics to cover ...
