Taxi fare is between ¥1300 and ¥1500. About $15 to $18.
It works best with the taxi drivers if you say the location first and then the hotel name. So........Shiodome, Conrad Hotel. Pronounced shee o DOH may, cone ROD o, ho Tellru.
You can print the Japanese web page of the hotel as a back up, but you should have no problem with the taxi driver. You can use a credit card in the taxis, so no need to get cash right away if you are in a hurry.
