You are going to have to break out Altitude Qualifying Miles (AQM) vs. aeroplan miles in this calculation.

You will only earn 9,709 AQMs, status or no status, on the SYD - YVR sector.

You need to take that into account when considering qualifying for Altitude Top Tier.
