I bank at PNC so I get their offers regularly. Look at their cash rewards. $100 card for 50,000 points. That makes a point at best, $0.0002. At 4 points/dollar spent, your return is $0.008 per dollar. That sucks. I decline the offers.

On the other hand, PNC's free checking is free. At least once one learns to navigate around the "gotcha" fees.
